The Crescent Nebula, imaged with a Celestron 8SE telescope, ASI2600MC Pro camera, 32x180s exposures, Bortle 7, under a street light.
New to me workflow:
- NINA Advanced Sequencer to automate the image capture (dithering while guiding with PHD2)
- SharpCap Folder Monitor camera to live stack the NINA frames as they came in.
Next day image processing workflow (Thanks Cuiv, The Lazy Geek!! - Image Processing with Free Software ):
- ASTAP to create master darks/flats from NINA and scan lights for best images
- manual review of images to uncheck frames with satellite streaks
- Siril to stack (manual steps for OSC camera stacking)
- GraXpert to crop/extract background/denoise
- Siril to enhance
- GIMP to touch up and export to web size png
